Free my soul from the fantasies my mind swiftly absorb,

Free my soul from the things I adore more than my true love,

Free my soul from the acts that scorn the above,

Free my soul and my heart from being a stone cold,

Free my soul from wishing to be another’s soul,

Free my soul from looking at myself all day long,

I wrote a poem about wishing to be free from the acts of the flesh, which are sexual immorality, impurity, debauchery, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, and orgies. My God freed my soul from being a slave to these things, and I thank him for opening my eyes and revealing the truth to me. Here are the meanings behind the idioms:
